Daniel and I are watching Captain America and Thor tonight in preparation for our first date night since Stormy arrived. We’re going to The Avengers on Friday. I cannot wait.
Little dude doesn’t care about this and won’t stop jiggling. Thus the really clear picture.

Why am I reading the comments on am article I didn’t care about to behind with and/or I thought might make me irate?
Wow.
Stormageddon turned three months old yesterday. He is a growing machine weighing in at about 15 and a half pounds. I have no idea how long he is, but we’ll find out Tuesday. He rolled from his back to his front today for the first time. It turns out he likes tummy time when he can get there by himself. He is very pleased.
PLAY SOCCER! — Coach screams
Last soccer game of the regular season. This is the first time Stormageddon hasn’t fought me putting on his sunglasses. It always helps to do it when it’s really bright so he can see how helpful they are.
We are wearing out team spirit colors and ready to cheer on the kiddos!
One of the most wonderful of people.
Happy Birthday, my dear friend.
Thank you so much.
This guy, you guys, he’s great. One of the greatest.
Birthday wishes made, candles blown out, time for cake! I hope you all had a good my birthday day!
mathcat345 asked: HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO A TUMBLR WHO IS GORGEOUS ON THE INSIDE AND THE OUTSIDE! May you have many more amazing birthdays and more happiness than you can handle! I always wish for cake for birthdays, so if you want it, I hope you get it! Hugs!
Thank you! And many, many hugs to you. I am getting cake today. I love cake!
For all of the courage, faith, adversity, triumph, loss, audacity, passion, fear and love and love and love and love there are no cards in any aisle of any store. This is no substitute or excuse. This doesn’t even come close. Happy Birthday, Elizabeth! I love you.
A teary thank you and I love you
The look on my face betrayed my disappointment when I opened Daniel’s gift.
At least he gave me a book, I thought trying hard to smile. I’d never heard of the author, whose name was almost obscured by a bargain price sticker, let alone the book.
The night before we had gone to Target to buy some baby items. Daniel went off in search of the dwindling book section. He said he couldn’t find what he wanted. So we rushed to Barnes and Noble minutes before they closed. Even though he was apparently buying my birthday present with me in tow, I excitedly thought he was looking for copies of the Song of Ice and Fire series. I had borrowed A Game of Thrones from his brother and had started on A Clash of Kings. While not a very original gift, I thought it would be nice to own my own set.
I stared at the book on the table. Daniel smiled at me expectantly. “Sweet. Thank you,” I tried to sound gracious. I turned the book over in my hands. He started a new job. We don’t have much money right now. There was a photo of a girl in the bikini on the back cover. I tried not to audibly groan. Maybe he knows something about this book. Maybe the author is good?
“I wrote an inscription,” he said. Oh, he put thought into this. I will at least cherish what he wrote.
I opened the book.
When I flipped the cover of the book, I wish Daniel had snapped a picture of my face. After our shopping trip together, my tiny birthday wish list (an apple corer and nursing bras) and his “Now, don’t expect too much for your birthday. Don’t get your hopes up”, he was more than able to pleasantly surprise me. I was bowled over.
A kindle touch was exactly what I wanted even though I didn’t know it. We talked about eReaders a while ago. He had a tablet he was using, but I said I would prefer just a regular kindle. “Not a kindle Fire?” he asked.
“No, I don’t want to stare at a lit screen to read,” I explained. “A regular kindle that I can swipe to turn pages and read in bright sunlight would do.”
Daniel grinned. “How disappointed were you when you saw that book?”
“I was trying to be nice,” I said.
“C’mon, I left the price tag on the front!”
“Okay, I was really disappointed, but I wasn’t going to say anything. I would have read it. You defaced a book!”
“I knew you would say that.” He knows me so well, and I love him for it. “So are you really surprised?”
“I am! Thank you so much. I love it. This is a great birthday already. This is the best present!”
Then we went home, he loaded the Song of Ice and Fire series onto the kindle, and I read until late in the night. The end.
Last night Daniel took me out to one of our favorite restaurants. We celebrated my birthday a day early since we’re spending time with family tonight.
We ate sushi, and at some point without my knowledge he told the staff that it was my birthday. So I wore the silly hat, and they gave us this “keepsake photo” to remember the whole affair.
She’s NOT checking in.
I NEVER do.
Also, he tricked me and took this photo. Apparently.
