The detergent arrived! Time to wash the diapers!
This is just the newest part of my stash. I still have others that my son used and more from my sister.
I cloth diapered my first out of necessity. He was allergic to nearly every disposable except for very expensive ones. As he grew up cloth diapering was just part of the routine, and then it became a “habit.” I bought ones with cute patterns, bold colors, and tried all different kinds. It was nearing an addiction before he potty trained.
This time around, the baby is starting out in cloth. I am so excited!

GPOY 30 Weeks!
Holy burgeoning belly, Batman! Where has the time gone?
I’m going to take a better picture later once I clean the mirror and have more time. I just hadn’t taken a picture in two weeks so I wanted to get a quick one done while I had a little bit of time this morning.
Also, wearing black and standing in front of a dark door doesn’t really give the full effect.

GPOY Drinking the dreaded glucose drink. This test nearly made me sick and pass out during my first pregnancy so I’m a little worried this time around. On top of that the flash was on when I tried to inconspicuously take this photo in a waiting room full of people. Now I wait. For an hour. Close to a bathroom.

I didn’t get around to posting this last week and it was pretty much the only photo taken of week 26.  I took this at my Grammie’s funeral on Friday October 21.

GPOYW - 24 weeks!
Things are good. Ish. Definitely better. Emotionally I am doing spectacular compared to a few weeks ago. But physically, not so great. I have pregnancy-induced restless leg syndrome, and sleeping has become difficult. I have posterior pelvic pain. It can be brought on by doing anything: walking, driving, sitting, standing, rolling over in bed. ANYTHING. My doctor prescribed physical therapy, and from what I read, it will help. She also suggested a maternity belt, but I’m going to wait to see what they say at PT because I have tried one, and it seems to make it worse. I am also making an appointment with a chiropractor.
I have been going to the gym. Some. Walking/running, doing some weights, biking, elliptical. It has helped my mood tremendously. And it helps my back.
This little squirmer never seems to stop moving. I appreciate knowing that it’s alive and kicking, but if it could lay off and let me sleep or watch a movie without bladder jabs or internal organ pummels, I would like that too.
Gosh, this sounds all complain-y. There are lots of positive things too! The fetus is moving, growing, and healthy. I am feeling better, more active, and optimistic. For all the not-so-good, there is lots of great.

GPOYW - 23 Weeks.  Doing better.
Also, he is big.  The doctor even said so.  Sonogram in two weeks to check growth and development.  I suspect he’ll weigh two pounds by then.

GPOYW Feeling awfully puffy and pregnant. I bought this shirt today though, and I like it a lot. I also purchased a dress, a sweater, and a cardigan. Expect to see these in constant rotation.

They were those quick little rhythmic but random ones like you get in your eye sometimes or in a weird small muscle of your arm.  And you think, “Gosh, I wish my eye/arm/belly would stop twitching! This is ANNOYING!”

Finally, after about the fifth time this happened it occurred to me that IT’S THE FETUS KICKING, SILLY!  You would think that I haven’t been pregnant before and that I haven’t been feeling this creature roll and thump around inside me for about six weeks now.  So I pushed down on the twitch location, and sure enough there it was: a nice strong tapping coming from the sea monster.

To be fair, it is a different sensation when you can feel it from the inside out.  At least that’s what I keep telling myself to keep from feeling like such an idiot.  I also attribute the sub par observational skills to the second go-around and having more to do than just lie around, willing the tiny thing to move like I did last time.

GPOYW - 19 Weeks

After my doctor’s appointment I had an unexpected ultrasound today. There is one scheduled at 20 weeks, but since I have been having some contractions, the doctor wanted to make sure everything was okay. While the tech was looking around it inadvertently turned into the best day because I found out early that IT’S A BOY! AND OH MY GOODNESS I AM SO EXCITED I AM NEARLY JUMPING UP AND DOWN.

IT’S A BOY!
