Songs For Babybite

I have several songs swirling in my head the past few days and this leads the pack but to be honest it’s more for Dan and Elizabeth. They had posted pictures of each others face as they were laying in bed once. I remember it vividly because of the two things. 1. it was a tough time in their relationship. 2. they were beautiful, honest pictures of two people that love each other. Problem with that is other shit got between their love.

Here’s the thing about love. It’s like water. Water will find a way. It will beat against rocks for years in an attempt to get around it until the rock begins to crack and round and the water begins to trickle through and around it till the rock is nothing but a pebble being tossed by it’s waves. Water will find an imperfection in your expensive roof or best laid plans and start it’s campaign. It is completely harmless yet the most powerful force on the this earth. Water will find a way.

Love found a way.

Elizabeth and I simultaneously got something in our eyes. What are the odds. No matter how much pepper he throws around, Jude is a beautiful person through and through.

Beautiful indeed.

I love this. Thank you, Jude. You are one of the best men I know.

Colin the creep.

Glasses meme.

Lunch today with a bunch of people from the internet. Colin asked to borrow Jude’s glasses. First of all, Colin has perfect vision and Jude’s is something like 20/30 in one eye and perfect in the other or something. So these glasses really don’t do shit except change color in sunlight. Nick and I both comment on how nice it must be to have great eyesight. We lament about our astigmatisms and near-blindness without corrective eyewear. Then Colin nearly walks out of the restaurant with the glasses tucked in his collar. As he begrudgingly hands them back to Jude, we get to hear the story about the hat and the sweatshirt that he has “borrowed” (actually taken) from Jude and Jennifer. And that’s how I found out Colin is kind of a thief.
